Got rim protection done, here's what it actually does and doesn't do
I had
Exotic Car Care rims protection applied after kerbing my alloys for the third time, and I went in with pretty low expectations honestly. What I learned is that it's more of a sacrificial layer than some magic shield, it takes the scrape instead of the rim itself, but a hard enough hit will still get through. That said, the light curb brushes that used to leave marks now basically wipe off, which has saved me from at least two refinishing jobs already. So it's worth it if you're someone who parks badly, but don't expect it to survive a proper crunch. Anyone else had it done and found the same? Or did yours hold up better than mine?
